  •  manual stoking and ash pan cleaning
  •  automatic burning control
  •  various nett calorific values from different types of wood
  •  minimal service

LP Gas

  •  low initial equipment cost
  •  fuel storage required
  •  available anywhere
  •  annual service required
  •  high operating cost
  •  will operate in harmony with wood or off-peak electricity

A prudent consumer should consider the following fuels or a combination as shown below:

  1. Natural Gas (if available)
  2. Off-Peak Electricity (if available)
  3. Wood (cost should not exceed $55.00 per tonne)
  4. LP Gas (warrants very careful consideration)
